is an associate professor and the Dean of the Faculty for International Economics, Finance and Business of the University UDG, Podgorica, Montenegro. She is also a senior research fellow at the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (Podgorica, Montenegro). From 2006 she holds a doctorate in economics from the graduate program „Entrepreneurial Economics” of the University of Montenegro (The program “Entrepreneurial Economics” is now organized at University UDG). Her current research focuses on macroeconomic issues, property rights, privatization, and economic transition. As her Ph.D. was in the field of financial econometrics, Maja is also interested in issues related to finance, econometrics, and applied quantitative economic analysis. She participated in many international conferences and published several papers in relevant journals. Maja spent the school year 2004/2005 at the Department of Economics of George Washington University, Washington DC, USA. In 2005 she was a visiting fellow at the Mercator Center of George Mason University, Virginia, USA.
