Dr. Ingo Friedrich was deputy chairman of the CSU in Germany. Since 1979, he was a member and between 1999 and 2007 he was the Vicepresident of the European Parliament. Dr. Friedrich is a spokesman for the Board and co-initiator of the Munich European Conference, a politically independent and non-partisan discussion forum that takes place on the eve of the Munich Security Conference.
Since 2009 he is President of the European Economic Senate.
