Yanna Pavlopoulou is the Founder and Managing Partner of CommonLawgic, a non-profit Research Institute that offers legal, strategic, and project management support over sustainability reporting, ESG metrics, waste, and resource efficiency. Being a lawyer (Athens Bar) until 2014, Yanna specialized in shipping, corporate and civil law. She was General Counsel and BoD member at Hellenic Star Shipping Co., trained Sustainability Report Verifier on behalf of Lloyd’s Register Marine (2011), Assessor on Excellence Management Models (UN GRI Standards, AA1000, E.F.Q.M Marine), and is a CSR Practitioner. She is a Ph.D. candidate at NTUA Environmental Economics & Sustainability Unit, holds an MSc from Liverpool JMU (School of Engineering) in Shipping Management, and has attended the Post-Graduate Level Program TRAIN MOS II (in Maritime Sustainability, LNG and Supply Chain Management). She received her Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University (with full scholarship), and her Law Degree from Athens (Arista). Yanna was the elected General Secretary of PROPELLER (PIRAEUS) CLUB (2013-2015) and a member of SNAME, WISTA, EEDE, etc. She is currently Steering Team member of the nationwide cleanup campaign, Let’s Do It Greece, the Coordinator of ALUMNI HUB (a network platform of Greek graduates from prominent foreign Universities), and the President of the Georgetown Alumni Club of Greece. Mother of three maritime professionals.
