A psychologist and sociologist by education, Lukasz holds a Ph.D. in social sciences. He completed his dissertation on contemporary theories of democracy in 2014. Before that, he was an academic visitor at Indiana University (USA) and the University of Oxford (UK).
Lukasz started working as a journalist in 2008 at Dziennik – then the second-largest Polish broadsheet newspaper. He is now a managing editor and the head of the political section at Kultura Liberalna – a leading Polish liberal magazine – where he writes mainly on Polish and American politics. In 2014 for his conversation with Professor Michael Sandel he was awarded the National Bank of Poland annual award for the best interview on economics published in the Polish press.
